Title:
Brief Encounter
Their reluctant parting.
A time warp conceded.
An arrangement half made
for their next meeting.
Surprised thoughts
absorbed her journey home.
'Two weeks seems too long now.
Though he didn't say so'
And 'Hey you. Go steady
with your troubled past.
He's temptation personified.
Who needs it!?'
But no..
Words left unspoken..
Egoless. Sensitive. Different. Appealing.
And the kiss.. unexpected.. nice!
Her aching all night
for the closeness of touch.
Just hand meeting hand -
She'd needed that much.
And then the dream..
She was flying, as often.
Graceful on air.
Effortless movement. Picking up pace.
Weightless sensation. Anticipation.
Then there, on the cloud,
she pictured his face.
