Title:
Postcard from Bournemouth Park
Loose yet searching faded lips Press wet on cafe cups And painted on beyond Are lawn trapped flowers, Bright unblinking through the shower Brave as children disappointed - Learning love's diplomacy. Brassy bandstand hummy ripples Spread amorous through pigeons Puffed and warbled So publicly rejected. French kissing in German Toy golfing in Geordie While municipal flows the stream Along the years from wafer ice And yellow trolley buses. Electric buskers echo out From subway Memphis Yes Siree- And so the picture We would share, O sadness sadness I here You there.
