Title:
Tell it to your face.
There was a sign in the sky and I knew you had to leave 'Good luck, lot's of love' I heard me say But my heart was pounding, there were tears upon my sleeve And my hand was waving you away.
There's a destiny calling everyone who cares to search And a future we must follow to the end I was hoping I meant something more than others you have touched I was hoping I was more than just a friend.
So walk on where you will, there's a road running down Through forests of smiles with trees of pain If there's something I can say, won't you please come around And I'll tell it to your face once again.
If time could be turned I would twist it on its heel And lead it like a lamb back to the fold If my thoughts could be stilled I would tell you how I feel And the truth of the matter could be told.
If you find that you get caught inside a dream that will not bend And the corners of your mind are causing pain I love you and I swear that I'll always be your friend And I'll tell it to your face once again.
Walk on where you will, there's a road running down Through forests of smiles with trees of pain If there's something I can say, won't you please come around And I'll tell it to your face once again I'll tell it to your face once again.
