Title:
my invaded brain
There's a marauding army in my brain That lives by killing without discern; A relentless march to slash and burn, Infiltrating each domain.
How the army invaded, no one knows. Each cell in turn, gives up and dies, And fear is lurking in my eyes. That's how the rape and pillage shows.
The signs are in my every move; Each missing gesture; unspoken word. Communication becomes absurd, But worse, we know it won't improve.
Some aren't sure the army advances, ''Cells don't die but merely sleep'' And then frail hope begins to creep, To search for cures; look for chances.
Imagine the day when this bloody thing, No longer cruel and unforgiving, Lets me enjoy this life I'm living, And lets me laugh, dance and sing.
