Title: I Stand Accused

I am so ashamed of being me.
I just couldn’t be you
as you were already there, you see.
You must have despaired;
you were dealt such an unfair
blow. I couldn’t begin to know
how it felt, but just imagining
how it could, hurts. And it hurts
SO much. Do we all lose touch
with our souls sometimes?
Or is it just those
who haven’t got one?
I stand accused.
