Title: I Almost Know You

Your hair –
An autumn blaze
Leaves falling to form
Freckles
As I rustle it
With transformed hands

Your eyes –
Nature’s colours reflected
Blue, green, brown
Configured
By humility
And too often turned away

Your lips –
Humorous ellipse
Of rose madder
Full enough
And content
To search for my own

Your form -
Boticelli’s lines
And luminescence
Fecund
Earth bound
Comfortable with me

Yet still
I have only just begun
To trace my finger
Over the
Undiscovered landscape
Within
