Forgotten? Never! Forsaken? Perhaps.
Four years of significance
Strong feelings have lapsed
We were so young.
As nature has cycles
And Seasons have time
We had our innocence
And pretence was sublime.
Our balance was perfect
Our thoughts were entwined
Hearts racing in tandem
'Love' always so blind.
Four years to awaken
To the obvious truth
Life hands out tricks
to all naive youth.
