Title: Summat

There’s summat sticky on the bathroom floor
Just to the left as you go through the door
Just what it is I cannot tell
Its got no colour and its got no smell

Now it’s the first thing that you meet
As you go in, in your naked feet
What can it be? No one knows;
Just squeezes up between your toes

Is it summat spilt? Or is it gum?
Or is it summat what someone’s done?
It could be summat what’s simply grown
Will it go away if I leave it alone?

There’s summat sticky on the bathroom floor
Just in a place you can’t ignore
Shall I scrape it up with a spoon or knife?
No, that’s kinda summat to leave to the wife!
