We think less of the people whom we once respected

We hope for the same morals, are our standards too high?
Was I anticipating the truth, did you tell me a lie?
Our story has been shared, by that I was surprised
How easily our relationship could be compromised

Our secrets, our moments, an issue of trust?
When questions are asked about the both of us

and although I believe, I feel disappointed too
