Title: Memory

My memory has taken a holiday
not sure when it'll be back
I try to recall the little things
but of course I've lost the knack
and when I try to think of things
along time ago in the past
they appear in mind instantly
if only the present was that fast

My memory has taken a holiday
it's gone into relax mode
it's taken a rest from it's usual address
(it's chaotic humble abode)
it's lost it's reliability
and needs a little break
All the answers to the questions
are getting hard to fake

My memory has taken a holiday
it's been working too hard of late
it used be top notch
but now it's second rate
a 'what-do-you-call-it' and 'thing-a-me-gig'
are words I tend to use
when trying to remember things,
what an annoying thing to lose!
