I miss who you were yesterday,
your smile, contagious.
Young, strong and passionate
about about yourself and mine.
When your spirit was light it floated
free from the heavy anchor
that comes via maturity.
You were once beautiful
but not today.
And so I often sit in the hazy glow of nostalgia
of an already set sun.
