Title: Soulrise

I took a fall and my heart broke open
I could forget everything but you
I rest in silence and I'm still hoping
The rain will stop falling and I will see this through
I watch the moon glow down on life
Forever in our pain
I strangle my fear sometimes
But I can't keep running away

I'm stowed away and the waves are crashing
The loss of love can make you numb
The swells are growing and they hold me captive
A salty sting within my lungs
I watch the clouds grab hold of life
Forever in my pain
I stifle my tears sometimes
But they will fall one day

I've locked myself in a room of devils
Who only wish to bring me down
My soul is trapped in the lowest level
Walls surround me and there's darkness all around
I hear their screams throughout my life
Forever in their pain
I run from my fears sometimes
Although they'll catch me anyway

Well this is a time to cherish!
Our battles make us strong
Our battles make us strong
But if you let all your hope perish
The sword will be your fall
The sword will be your fall

I've found myself in a room of angels
Who would have thought I'd find them now
I smear my heart upon a sacred canvas
And watch my tears and fears spill out
I see the sun shine down on life
And take away the pain
I loose my knees and cry
What a blessed, blessed day

We cry out
Faced away from the clouds
Crying, hiding while fighting
Fading away
We stay strong
Strangling, dangling, while fading
Yet staying and praying while fading
Fading away

I see our star shine down on life
And take away our pain
And even though the night may bring us strife
The sun will rise again

So this is a time to cherish!
Our faith will make us strong
Our faith will make us strong
And we will see the darkness perish
When the star shines “everlong”
When the star shines “everlong”
