He received the council letter
informing him of his fine,
Six months not paying council tax
he'd now ran out of time.

They didn't care he'd lost it all
his wife ripped it all away,
his kids, his home, his self respect
he didn't get a say.

She hired a clever solicitor
to oversee the divorce,
She even took his treasured car
feeling no regret or remorse.

The council letter really got to him
he decide to end it all,
He'd drive straight off of Beachy Head
and kill himself in the fall.

He sat there staring straight ahead
behind the steering wheel,
Words cannot describe how bad
the stress had made him feel.

Someone somehow got to him
and shouted "GET A GRIP!!
I'm sure that we can help you out
In fact we'll have a whip".
