Title:
What's the point of niceness?
What's the point of niceness?
That’s what he said ….REALLY….
And then he went on to remind me
of things that people could have said
if they could have been bothered.
And then, he went on to say
that if they hadn’t said anything
at all
What that really meant was that
it was equally my fault
because
I could have made an effort.
What he failed
to say
was anything
at ALL
about
my tragic and
unnatural
losses.
Murder by
any other name
But who would dare
incriminate?
And the way
this had made me
feel so
very, very
LOST.
No ... lost doesn’t do it
Doesn’t come near
How I felt … feel …
is empty
helpless
worthless
stricken
useless
frantic
manic
angry
lonely
sick
OUT
of it
... and some.
Beyond, beyond
and yet
I still
retain
a lingering
forever sabotaged
hope
that I will cope
again one day.
Here comes
the prey
NOW
itching
for my heart.
