tongue like a viper.
Snap snap
the last drop
in the camels cup.
It broke the back
of a forced smile
and faked laughter.
All gone
in the time
it takes
to split a second.

Where
did that one come from?
Kindness,
help
or interference?
So hard
to tell the difference
when red
is all
you're hearing.

Of course
the loved ones
stood the nearest
and felt the
spiteful spit
on their faces.

But
forgiveness,
