This is a place, tranquil, serene,
whereon the hand of God has been,
and we at peril change the face
he painted in this lovely place;
or in our arrogance deny -
the majesty of sea and sky,
nor change so much
a single line as drawn
by our creators eye.

For each and every single thing
has place and meaning set by him,
and we should lightly make our way;
leave none to trace upon the clay,
the mark of some unseemly scar
that shows the truth of what we are.
For it was fashioned thus -
and thus should be,
kept safe for all eternity.
