Title:
Election fever
(Aka the flight of the bumbling bee) Roll up, roll up, join in the fun, the three ring circus has begun. There's blue and yellow, faded red - some others, (I forget quite who), who'll promise all the earth to you in hope they'll steal a vote or two. And I've never seen to many smiles, or seen so many babies kissed ; So many hands in friendship lent and sins sworn truly to repent.
Roll up, roll up, join in the fun, so many prizes to be won, a bypass here, a bypass there, (may peace be on your village square), more hospitals - a posh new school, a library - a swimming pool! And all this house is handsome blessed whilst horns are locked in brave contest ; 'Tis rainbow's end, the four leaf clover And Oh! how our cup runneth over.
So, roll up, roll up, join in the fun, this is your chance, your smoking gun, to tease them, tempt them, tell them lies, raise all their hopes up to the skies, play them at their silly games - no need to even know their names ; For here's one thing I'll guarantee, (though you with faith may not agree), that all they'll do is rip us off once their fat snouts are in the trough!
