Title:
Damage Limitation
We are all damaged In different ways. My damage Leaves me in a haze.
Cerebral.
”Ha! Not more from the weakened club?”
I hear you.
So, step back as I reply. “No! Not so.”
Only goes to show How unpredictable
We are.
Damage can be Limited.
Scar or tattoo venting Permitted.
My shout Is about Those who recognize The simple pleasure Treasures.
A walk … anywhere As long as the air Is fresh or relatively so.
Or those who treat us With their hand-tied Bouquets Available in a can At the wayside.
Or a nod or a friendly gesture.
Or a letter or a card.
Or a phone-call from a friend.
Or a smile of sunshine.
Or the scent of the Virginia
Pine.
I am damaged But doing fine.
And beside myself With gratitude For the simplest Simple pleasure.
