Title:
Memory
Did you woo me with sonnets? Win my heart with wit and being handsome? Did those blue eyes turn my heart To pounding wonder?
Did you trawl me into your loving net with flowers, chocolates and theatres? No - none of that - you were just there. We strolled through Central Park; Window-shopped 5th Avenue. The Empire State had everything laid out for us to see, yet somehow, all we saw was each other. Now I see these things on my own. It is cold, toying with memories. Would a sonnet have been warmer? Perhaps not.
