Buttons - endless buttons -
Dust-filled attachments,
Digital hieroglyphics
Cowled in a microchip field.
A Cartouche of
Precious notions
Pressed into the ether
Through a phalanx of soldered wires.
These maddening buttons
Connect me with you.
Oh - lovely buttons
With letters of love -
An ‘L’, an ‘O’, - a ‘V’.
Each button pressed,
Telling you of me,
And me of you.
Buttons holding us together.
Distance vanishing.
