Title:
Killing Time
They live behind drab faded nets She smokes all day He places bets.
Killing time.
At 12 noon they start on cans Cheap booze clasped in trembling hands.
Killing time.
They order take-aways to eat. Kebabs or pizza then something sweet.
Killing time.
Their telly’s on from awake, to bed They watch transfixed with empty heads.
Killing time.
They don’t talk much what’s there to say? They can hardly chat about their day.
Killing time.
