Title: We need a bigger boat

Well there we were, watching the bastard ferry disappear over the horizon. After a profound misunderstanding of the nature of the universe, and a buttock clenching drive across La Gomorra to catch it, we were fucked.

Our options for getting home were too complicated to mention here but it involved Manchester at 4am and our car was in Birmingham. So we did what any sane person would do, charter a 20ft outboard with a gimlet-eyed Ahab who teararsed across 30 miles of a swelling Atlantic Ocean, with us hanging on for dear life with no life jackets. For christ sake this boat was smaller than the one in Jaws. The lunatic kept moving us around as ballast, muttering to himself, maybe he was praying to god, I know I was. I now know the true meaning of the word fear. He then wouldn't let us off till we paid him 600 euros.

Caught our flight though. I mean how the fuck were we to know they change the clocks abroad. What is it about British Summer Time that they don't understand, it says British for god's sake.
