Simple Pleasures
The warm breeze lifts my spirit.
The soft sun soothes my soul.
The flower borders are smiling
The birds tweet as they go.
A blackbird sits on my patio
His wings spread wide and free
He’s enjoying the spring sunshine
And he’s lullaby-ing me.
The daffodils have had their day.
But the tulips now stand tall.
The grass looks greener as we speak
I love it – weeds n’all.
