Another Day of Nothing
Another day of nothing.
A blackbird perches on my fence.
Me too
If only I could find a job
to do
I’d do it.
Hundreds of rejections later.
I won’t mention my three degrees
Lord Sugar would mock
I’d join the flock
If they’d let me.
Must I pretend
to be uneducated
to get somewhere
and where
on earth
would
that be?
