I remember when in '62
We nestled close, as lovers do.
We giggled carelessly into the night
Leaving early just didn't seem right.
We talked of our future, together of course.
We saw life as fun without remorse.
We speculated how things might be
If we could look forward half a century.
Well here I am, fifty years on.
No longer with you, 'our time' long gone.
I can hardly believe that it's 2012
And I'd like to raise my glass to yourself!
