Shoreline
There was love that I could not contain. It overflowed my being with a storm-cloud of such intensity I could barely stand.
Then the undertow; receding waves that scoured the sand before dispersing into aqua depths that I could never follow.
Now - the shallows hold my loneliness. Ripples purl gently at the debris of a love.
I navigate alone, aching for the breaker that would, could, sweep me back to those impassioned shores before the undertow. v
