The very hopeful thought
The very hopeful thought
It would be wonderful
to leave a good thought
upon the earth.
Not “in” it - just “on” it.
Or in a breath perhaps - “above” it,
with just enough for someone else’s breath
to think of saying -
“Wasn’t it nice when……”
then mention something
that you’d said or done
that was good.
Or useful.
Or - even better - funny!
Just a pensive thought
of the most unhelpful sort.
