Trolley Rage
I grabbed the thing.
It took my bag without complaint.
I steered. It steered,
somehow it won - its wheels
resisting every urge.
I reached for avocadoes.
It veered towards the grapes.
Loganberries tipped - escaped,
cascading through the bottom
of its thoughtless, heartless bars.
It winged another trolley -
wheels locked and tempers tensed.
It ruined my tomatoes.
It crushed his rhubarb.
Another thing -
it squeaked.
