Profile for Sally Edwards

I am a full time mum with twins of 2.5. I have been writing on and off all my life, but have been more serious about it over the last year when I realised that I had to have something more than nappies in my life.

So far I have been busy with writing articles about my experience as an expat living in Holland, and have been published in UK, Belgium and Dutch magazines. I also do quite a lot of work for free writing for websites.

I am currently writing a cookbook for mums, and will include nutrition advice, recepies with the influence on international flavours for the expat travelling family.

I find I have so many ideas its hard to get the time to work on them.

I´m also researching a series of articles on Rembrandt, to be published in Holland.

I have a couple of novel ideas on the back burner too, but these are only at the outline stage, and I am only adding the odd page here and there, when something strikes me.

Writing is part of my life, I try to do something every day, just turning up at the page is often enough to shift my mood. I find I am hugely energised by writing, even when I don´t feel like doing it.
