Title:
SOUL MATE
I recognise you now Your face so familiar Those eyes, that smile The words you speak with love Echoes in my head Your hands explore, that tenderness Touches on my skin Free me from my obsession Arrest this addiction Turn back time To another life, another world Where you and I lived and loved and died My Soul Mate Do you remember me? Is that a look of recognition? Does a phrase or word awake a thought? A distant memory of passion? But you can no longer love me, desire me For I am old Your soul and body now a gift to him. Do you believe in reincarnation? This poem is about two lovers from a long time ago, but in this world they've missed each other.
