A Request To My Auto Dealer
Out of the goodness of his heart, my better half has relented and, at last, bought me my own car.
Admittedly, it will require some attention but I know I can rely on you to help me out as ever.
Because of global warming & carbon footprints & all that stuff the decision was made to provide me with a 1960`s 800cc, Reliant Robin, a green one with a retractable sun-roof.. There are several additional extras, nice touches, three BMW wheel trims and there is a Mercedes logo on the front, he brought them home in a Waitrose bag: he has become very impressed by their supplying organic products from Prince Charlse` Cornish estate... He likes their courgettes.
The thing is, my car is stuck at the front, partially blocking the road because it is in need of a few minor adjustments. The sunroof requires sealing up a bit & it is in serious need of some new brake, linings, air-conditioning & a c.d player, it could also do with a larger petrol tank as I intend to tour Scotland in a couple of weeks when you have sorted it. Anyway, if you could send one of your drivers round with a low loader some time next week it would be an enormous weight off my mind as well as freeing up the road so the neighbours can get out!
