Okay so that's an old photo! 1958 to be exact.

I have been writing on little scraps of paper since the early 70's and some have survived in a plastic bag at the bottom of the wardrobe.

I mainly write poetry but have recently written a 40 page pantomime script  that is due to be performed by our local amateur dramatics society in January 2007. I have composed lyrics for half a dozen songs that have been performed by various unknown singer/songwriters over the years (all amateur).

I find satisfaction in the process of writing rather than in the end result. It is often my method of understanding, or at least considering the world around me. 

I seldom feel like the creator of my poetry, in control of what has appeared on the page. It is more of a therapy session. Even my comic verse is written one line at a time with no plan or purpose.

I have recently been encouraged to perform some of my work live and received some positive feedback. So I thought I would tentatively dip my toe into writebuzz ....
