Profile for Douglas Munday

Been a poet for a long time and as I write this update (2008) I have reached sixty, although my friends tell me I don't look a day over fifty nine and a half, (I agree with them, although in fairness I did buy my bathroom mirror second hand from a bloke called Gray, Dorian I think his first name was). Anyway, I digress, I love writing poetry and penned my first ditty so long ago that I was still in short trousers at the time.

I earn my crust in the harsh commercial world of the motor trade. Fortunately it's a decent crust and allows me enough leisure time to indulge myself in much scribbling. I have never written for profit or gain, probably never will, only for the enjoyment of crafting lines that I hope others will enjoy. I shall continue for as long as I am able and one day when I'm dead and gone and floating on my own little cloud, I shall doubtless look over your bowed and industrious shoulders from time to time and take secret delight in perusing what is on offer.
So write well and write hardily; you never know who's watching!
